Description
The HI98402 is a rugged, portable fluoride meter designed to provide laboratory precision and accuracy under harsh environmental conditions. This meter is ideal for a variety of applications in drinking water treatment, environmental monitoring, and plating baths. The HI98402 offers a variety of features including five distinct measurement ranges, automatic calibration to 1 or 2 points, automatic temperature compensation, and on-screen instructions.
The HI98402 uses a BNC probe input for connecting the fluoride half-cell electrode and a reference input for the reference half-cell electrode. A separate RCA connector is used for a thermistor temperature probe. The temperature probe provides for a high ±0.2 ℃ accuracy measurement for precise temperature compensation.
Features at-a-glance
One or Two-Point Calibration – Automatic calibration can be performed at 1 or 2 points using the 5 pre-programmed buffers (1 mg/L, 2 mg/L, 10 mg/L, 100 mg/L, and 1000 mg/L).
On-Screen Instructions – Clear and easy to use on-screen instructions take you through all of the steps in performing a calibration and taking measurements.
Fluoride and Reference Half-Cell Electrodes – The HI98402 requires two half-cell electrodes to measure fluoride. The HI4010 is a fluoride half-cell comprising an epoxy body and a lanthanum fluoride crystal sensing membrane. The HI5313 is a reference half-cell featuring a cone style junction that produces a highly stable reference potential and consistent flow rates of electrolyte into solution. Together with the meter and temperature probe, a complete and accurate measurement system is formed.
Automatic Temperature Compensation – The HI98402 offers automatic temperature compensation of fluoride measurements over the range of -5.0 to 55.0℃.
