Iron (Medium Range) Test Kit Replacement Reagents (50 tests) - HI3834-050
The HI3834-050 are replacement reagents for the colorimetric determination of iron with the HI3834 Iron Medium Range Test Kit. There are enough reagents for approximately 50 tests to be used with Hanna’s test kit. These high quality reagents are manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility and are clearly marked with the lot number and expiration date on each packet for traceability.
- Pre-made reagents for ease of use
- Prepared with high purity chemicals

For determination of iron, all ferric (Fe3+) ions are reduced to ferrous (Fe2+) ions before the phenanthroline reagent is added to the sample. The reaction between ferrous ions and the reagent causes an orange colored complex to form; the greater the concentration, the deeper the color. A color comparator cube is included for an accurate, side-by-side, visual analysis to determine iron concentration. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected iron range of 0 to 5 mg/L (ppm) iron.
